A quilt for the shelter

This quilt will be auctioned on Jan. 29 at "A Masquerade for the Animals," the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society’s annual auction to benefit the animals of Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex counties. The fabrics were chosen by Linda Peters, above, who coordinated the project and assembled the quilt. Some of the dog blocks were made by members of the Bay Quilters. The quilt took a year to complete. The auction will be held at the Abingdon Ruritan Centre, Bena. For more information about the fundraiser, call Shannon at 642-4320.
