Bo Baker, at left, of Hayes, took his dog “Lucy” for a run on Gloucester Point beach on Saturday in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Ophelia, and Lucy made several friends, including Betty Burton, who also lives in Hayes. The waves washed far up onto the beach, leaving just a narrow path for any beachgoers who didn’t fancy getting wet.
