A narrow escape

Mr. Wm. H. Miller came near being gored to death on Sunday last by his bull. His (the bull’s) goring days will soon be over as he is for sale as a beef or ox.

Mr. Allen W. Starr, of Baltimore, Maryland, and Miss Annie Owens, the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Owens, of Diggs, were married yesterday evening at the home of the bride’s parents. Rev. L.J. Phaup performed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Owens of Berkeley, with whom Miss Owens has resided for the past six years, came up to attend the wedding. The bridal party left on today’s boat for their bridal tour.
