Mathews American Legion Post 83 operated its 31st annual purchase and delivery of hot Christmas meals, with assistance this year from the Mathews Rotary Club. Catered by Shelly Williams, packaged and delivered by members and volunteers, the turkey dinners with all the trimmings went to 34 people, a spokesman said.
