A hayride from Blakes to Mathews Court House

Blakes: Mr. Gilbert Bassett gave a very delightful hayride in honor of Miss Straughter and Miss White. The jolly crowd was driven to the Court House, where a delightful supply of sodas was served. They returned home about 12:30 declaring they never had a more enjoyable evening.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. I.H. Diggs, of Gwynn, was the scene of a quiet but very pretty wedding ceremony on Saturday night, Aug. 13, when their daughter, Ruby, became the bride of Mr. Alvin Forrest.

The bride was beautifully gowned in tan georgette, with accessories to match. The house was decorated with cut flowers lighted with candles. The wedding march was played by Mr. Stanley Armistead and Mr. Leonard Diggs, brother of the bride, acted as best man. Mr. W.J. Williams officiated,
