Gwynn’s Island: Miss Lizzie Foster and Mr. Edwards were quietly married at the home of Mr. C.H. Owens on Sunday night last. The bride was attired in white. Rev. W.E. Guy performed the ceremony after which they went to their new home.

Rev. W.E. Guy is going to close his school Friday, March 8. We are sorry he is going to close. All of the children seem to like him and learn very fast.

State Highway forces started the work of building the tar and gravel road from Mathews Court House to the end of concrete near Gloucester Point Monday. Eleven local trucks were engaged in the work up to Wednesday night and it is said that twenty-five will be on the job within a few days.
