A great fishing season is reported

Best season for years, say the Fishermen, who reported that the present fishing season, so far as Winter Harbor and Mobjack bay fishermen are concerned, is the best in twenty years. As an example, Mr. C.L. Armistead, who is fishing two pounds in shallow water, reports catches of from 500 to 800 shad at a fishing. Other fishermen are doing as well, and some have made unusually large catches.

Mr. J.W. Diggs reports that the run of fish in shallow water is very large, and prospects for a most successful season for all the fishermen are good.
