A birthday party in Mathews

Little Lucy Litchfield Sears entertained her friends at a most enjoyable birthday party at her home “Halcyon Hall,” on Wednesday, from 5 to 7. She was assisted in receiving by her cousins, Grace Baker Siegel of Richmond and Juliet Browne Garnett of Williamsburg.

Among those present were MaryEllen and Genevieve Burke, Josephine Claiborne Marchant, Dorothy and Irma Rutherford of Norfolk, Katharine Cooke, Ruby, Mary and Lucy Sibley, Hilda and Annie Blake, Mary Frye Marchant, Vivian Douglass, Elizabeth and Virginia Pugh, Lucy Banner, Grace Siegel and Juliet Garnett and Masters Dabney G. Baker, Giles Cooke, Browne Banner, Ernest Browne Jr., Aubrey Douglas, Griffith and John Marchant, Merritt Sibley, Charles L. Seigel and Baker Lee Sears.
