A bad scratch, trip to hospital, wellness again

Mr. J. Monroe Hutson, the popular New Point merchant, has been suffering from a severe case of blood poisoning but is now better. Some days ago, he scratched his hand and blood poison developed. He was carried to Norfolk and several operations performed before the disease was overcome.The Mathews Men suffered their second consecutive defeat at the hands of the School boys on Thursday afternoon of last week. The boys played ball all around the men on this occasion, the final score being 13 to 5. Batteries; Treakle and Treakle, White, Hoskins and Hugus. Umpire Marchant.
