New ownership came with a new vehicle and a rebranding for A-1 LZocksmith, as Jill Carpenter-Bullock and her husband Adam Bullock look to continue what Jill’s godparents started 20 years ago. The Gloucester couple views this new vehicle and rebranding as the first step of future growth for their business.

“My parents wanted to retire … this is my father’s third retirement,” Carpenter-Bullock explained of the motivation for ownership change. A-1 Mobile Locksmith was founded in 1999 by Robert “Bob” and Denise Ouellette.

Carpenter-Bullock transitioned from a career in mental health to being a business owner as well as furthering her own locksmithing knowledge. “My husband has been teaching me in order for me to go in and do some basic jobs, but yes, I’m continuing that education,” she said.
