Rappahannock Community College’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning will hold a class focusing on estate planning and planned giving called “Living Large and Leaving a Legacy.” This course will be held on Nov. 10, 17 and 24 from 1-3 p.m. virtually through Zoom. In this three-session class, Tom Baker from Virginia Commonwealth Bank will provide the information needed to make confident financial decisions before the end of the year. Topics covered include estate planning in easy to understand terms, avoiding a real life (post death) “family feud,” retirement planning in a low-yield environment, cash flow and your lifestyle, creating a family value system and the joy of charitable giving. “I enjoy helping people determine what they want life to look like while they are here and what they want their legacy to be when they are gone,” said Baker. “These are simple questions to ask, but finding the answers to them is anything but simple.
