Parenting a strong-willed child is the topic of a parent workshop scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14, in the Botetourt Elementary School library. The workshop begins with a quick pizza dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the workshop from 6:15 to 7 o’clock. Child care can be provided with reservations.
Strong-willed children are spirited and courageous and a challenge to parent, a release said. They want to learn things for themselves rather than accepting what others say, so they test the limits over and over.
If sensitively parented, strong-willed children can become terrific teens and young adults. In this workshop, parents will hear tips to help their strong-willed children grow into the natural leaders they are meant to be, the release stated.
