Editor, Gazette-Journal:As a lifelong independent, I urge you to know the facts before you vote. Mr. Wittman has voted to or ignored his Constitutional authority:

Make major cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. These are in the Big Beautiful Bill approved by Wittman and the cuts start in 2027, just after the midterm elections. Allow the continuation of an unconstitutional Iran war. Looked the other way on the mining/dredging for precious metals off the Eastern Shore of Virginia at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay that will disrupt menhaden and rockfish migration. Ignores the fact that 13 cabinet members are in the Epstein files. Ignores or joins in the corruption of the GOP. Agrees billionaires should not be taxed. Supports the illegal worldwide tariffs. Supports the administration’s fascist ban on books. Supports and profits from mega data centers. Ignores the decline of the U.S. credibility worldwide.
