The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will hold its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. next Thursday, Oct. 15, in the historic courthouse on Court Street. At that time, the board is expected to bring partial resolution to the longstanding legal issues with Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill, the restaurant that leases county-owned property on Old Ferry Road on Gwynn’s Island. Supervisors’ chair Tom Bowen said the board is scheduled to vote on a settlement agreement it has reached on the case titled “Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill LLC v Board of Supervisors of Mathews County and Ramona Wilson, County Administrator,” otherwise known as Case 220. The case was filed by Hole in the Wall last July, after the Mathews Board of Supervisors terminated the lease with the restaurant and locked owners Mac Casale and Dean Tsamouras and their employees out of the building.
