Gloucester County Public Schools welcomed Rep. Rob Wittman (R-Montross) to Gloucester High School on Monday to provide a tour of its career and technical education offerings for students, which currently include agriculture, automotive technology, computer information systems, construction, cosmetology, criminal justice and cybersecurity, culinary arts, financial literacy and economics, game design, health careers and nursing, and NJROTC. The district is looking into expanding its CTE programming to one day include welding, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. According to GCPS, 37.6 percent of GHS students go straight into the workforce or enlist in military service upon graduation. For Monday’s visit the carpentry class made Wittman a board with the institutions he attended.
