Editor, Gazette-Journal: This past February, my wife and I were blessed with the arrival of our first great-granddaughter. Looking down into her loving eyes, I can’t help but feel a strong responsibility to ensure she has the same chances of a good life as I have had. This is a responsibility that I don’t take lightly. I proudly served 20 years in the military to ensure each, and every, American has the same freedoms I have. I’m now seeing those rights and privileges erode through the governance of this Congress and Administration. I’m an independent voter. I choose who I vote for. Party lines don’t blur my decisions. That’s why I voted early for the best person to represent me. Rob Wittman is not that person. His voting record is deplorable! He’s relinquished all his duties to the White House.
