Author to discuss his Lafayette book at Gloucester Library, Mathews Museum

Author Ryan Cole will discuss his book, “The Last Adieu,” about the Marquis de Lafayette’s return to America decades after the American Revolution in a pair of programs, at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26 at the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center, and at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Mathews Museum, 200 Main Street, Mathews. The lectures are free and open to the public.Cole’s historical story is centered on Lafayette’s return to the country he had helped fight for during the Revolution, said a press release.
