The Gloucester High School varsity field hockey team defeated the Poquoson Bull Islanders, 6-0, Tuesday night at home. Jenna Seaton led the scoring for the Lady Dukes with two, followed by Aaliyah Mattocks, Kenleigh Hall, Lacey Carpenter and Charlotte Houtz with one goal each. Ayla Fernandez recorded three assists, while Maddie Rowe contributed one. During the match, Gloucester had 13 shots on goal while Poquoson had none. The Lady Dukes also recorded eight offensive corners compared to Poquoson’s three. Hall, Houtz and Madelyn Rowe led the midfield effort for Gloucester. Ellie Adams and Lorelei Wymer served as the team’s goalkeepers. The Lady Dukes are scheduled to travel to face the Lafayette Rams tonight.
