Baystars youth soccer teams had a busy weekend of matched with many coming out victorious. Mahi The U10 Mahi fought to earn a 2-1 victory over the Beach FC Waves. Maddie Bryson scored the first goal of the match during the second half. Alaina Clay found the back of the net just minutes later to extend the lead for the Mahi. The Waves only scored once, while the Mahi defense worked hard to secure the win. Tsunami The U11 Tsunami tied, 4-4, with the Beach FC Perkins Dragons. Hector Jacques and Ethan Reynolds were the scorers for the Tsunami with assists from Jax Baker, Levi Phillips Tovar and Willis Shultz. Goalkeepers Blaise Katsuki and Sebastian Newman recorded seven saves in the net. Wahoo The U12 Wahoo defeated the Virginia Rush Stingrays, 5-1, over the weekend. The Wahoo took control early with Addie Farrell scoring three goals in the first half. Kinsley Murray and Shiloh Lane continued the scoring in the second half with one goal apiece to secure the win.
