The Gwynn’s Island Civic League Foundation recently delivered over $2,000 of classroom and student supplies to Mathews schools, from pencils to note cards to binders. These will be available for teachers and students to access throughout the year. Funds were raised at the foundation’s Dine to Donate in May at Richardson’s Café, where previous owners Lynne and Joe Davenport originally requested that they be dedicated to classroom supplies, and new owners Christopher and Amy Williams were happy to carry on the tradition.
