Tasty, salt-free recipes found in new book

“I like food with flavor and no use of salt,” commented Juliet Perry-Bey, author of one of the latest cookbooks, “Fla’eVah.” Juliet is a Newport News lady who found some time in spite of a full business schedule to share some healthful, tasty, and flavorful recipes. Knowing how to cook and tweaking recipes to give them flavor comes naturally to Juliet. Her grandmother, aunts and “even my father” were good cooks. “I learned from them.” Not only does Juliet share her good cooking with friends, family and of course in her cookbook, but also in her business Senior Moments Mobile Hairstyling and Barber Services. She is a cosmetologist. Loving to cook and sharing her work with others is how Fla’eVah came about. “Whenever I had fixed something special, I would take a picture of it and send it out to friends.
