Several Baystars youth soccer teams celebrated a winning weekend. Mahi The U10 Mahi defeated Beach FC Phoenix, 2-1. Alaina Clay scored for the Mahi in the first half, assisted by Harper Cothern. Avery Shinault added the team’s second-half goal, which was assisted by Eleanor Rhodes. Rockfish The U19 Rockfish earned a shutout win of 11-0 over the Chesapeake Ninjas over the weekend at Woodville Park. In the first half, Stanley Ouma and Parker Mahnke both scored two goals each, followed by Rory Dodier-Fernandez and Connor Latour with one apiece. Ouma scored two more goals for the second half and Connor Graulich and Owen Wilcox contributed one point apiece. Tigersharks The U13 Tigersharks defeated the Beach Vipers, 8-1, over the weekend in Virginia Beach. The Tigersharks’ defense allowed just two shots on goal throughout the entire game.
