The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Dr. C. Scott Davis as its newest county administrator, effective Nov. 1, during its work session Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse. This follows the board’s contract termination of former County Administrator Carol Steele in April, which passed by a vote of 4-3. “Thank you very much for this opportunity,” said Davis during the meeting. “I’m looking forward to working with the board, the staff and the citizens of Gloucester County. I look forward to continuing to make this place even better.” Davis currently is the Town Manager of Farmville, a position he has held since 2020. He previously was Interim Town Manager and Assistant Town Manager for Farmville. Before Farmville, Davis was the Director of Planning and Community Development in Colonial Heights.
