A donation of dozens of doughnuts by the Dough Haus at Hayes sweetened travels for United States service members traveling through Richmond Airport last weekend. Here is how the sweet deal came about: Bethany Ott, whose home is next to the Dough Haus, asked for the donation as her husband Jonathan, retired from the Army after 37 years, was flying out of Richmond to Tennessee on Saturday. “We have a heart for the troops,” said Bethany, and she took the initiative to go next door to see if Dough Haus would send a donation. There she found manager Stacey Key, who is aunt to the owners, Athena and Cody Mercer. Kay said she was happy to help: “from the bottom of my heart.
