The Gloucester High School varsity golf team is well into its season with two more matches in the books.Gloucester traveled to Colonial Heritage Club, Williamsburg, on Aug. 27 where it finished with a team total of 364. Senior Fenton Scott led the team with an 87, followed by senior Aidan Mudrie with a 90, junior Ethan Greene with a 92 and senior Landon Steele with a 95. The Dukes were on the road again Aug. 31, this time traveling to Newport News Golf Club at Deer Run, for a shortened match due to poor weather. The participating teams were only able to complete nine holes, opposed to the usual 18. Scott led Gloucester again by shooting a 40, followed by Mudrie with a 45, senior Mason Schmidt with a 46 and junior Lukas Falkenburg with a 47. The Dukes finished nine holes with a team total of 178.
