Places named Gloucester across the world came together via Zoom to share in the celebration of Gloucester Day. The Gloucester Rotary Club hosted this online gathering at the Gloucester Brewing Company at noon on Saturday, with club president Frank Wingfield officially greeting the other Gloucesters. Global Gloucester Day is in recognition of the annual event held in the United Kingdom. After sharing a toast with the other Gloucesters, birthday cake was served to those at the brewery. Gloucester Day was held in and around the court circle on Saturday, marking the 375th anniversary of the establishment of Gloucester County in 1651. Both sides of the court circle, and the court circle itself, were filled with vendors, along with several food trucks set up along Main Street and a food court in front of County Building 2.
