Students across the country have a chance to win cash awards and national recognition for their schools through WoodmenLife’s “America Is … 250!” video contest. The contest is open through Oct. 7 and encourages students in grades K-12 to submit an original 30-60-second video celebrating the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence and sharing what America means to them. Winners will be selected in two divisions, K-8 and 9-12, with a grand prize of $2,500, second place of $1,500, and third place of $1,000 awarded in each division. WoodmenLife sponsors the contest each year. The public will be invited to view and vote for their favorite entries on WoodmenLife’s Facebook page from Oct. 14 through Oct. 21. Grand-prize winners will also receive a commemorative “America Is …” video contest award to be presented and displayed at their school. Winners will be announced Oct. 27 on Facebook.
