Members of Chapter CA of P.E.O. International recently welcomed a new member, initiating Sue Skidmore. P.E.O. is a national philanthropic organization that supports women’s education through scholarships, grants, loans and the group’s affiliation with Cottey College in Missouri. The group honored a guest at its meeting, Ruth Garrett. Garrett was initiated into Iowa Chapter A. Chapter A is called the original Chapter A where P.E.O. was founded in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, where Garrett grew up.
