The Gloucester County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on zoning ordinance revisions related to boat/marine service and storage uses, agricultural operations, power utility, home operations, nonconformities, signs, administrative procedures and enforcement when the commission meets tonight, Thursday, Sept. 3, beginning at 6:30 in the colonial courthouse. All of the ordinance sections affected by the proposed amendments and rationale for the changes include the following: —Section 2-2: Aligning the definition of “farm” with “agricultural operation,” adding definitions for the new uses boat/marine service and storage, adding a definition for resource management plan and revising the definition for monument signs; —Section 5-20.1: Aligning the exemption from a zoning permit in the RC-1 district with the definition for agricultural operation, adding the new uses by conditional use permit, removing stables and private requesting acreage reduction as a permitted use; —Section 5...
