A reception for the Bay School’s September show, Under the Big Top, will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the Art Speaks Gallery, 279 Main Street, Mathews. Entries in the show were inspired by a literal circus theme or a metaphor that depicts the madness and absurdity of everyday life. 17 artists created jewelry, pottery, fiber and paintings that promise to be fun, colorful and nostalgic.
