The Virginia Department of Transportation will show its plans for a roundabout at the intersection of Route 3 (Twiggs Ferry Road) and Route 198 (Buckley Hall Road) at a design public hearing next week. The session will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Mathews Family YMCA, Hudgins. The $8 million project has been approved and construction is slated to begin in 2029, VDOT said. Project plans and information will be available for public inspection, and public comments will be taken, during the hearing, which will be held in an open house format.
