THURSDAY LIGHT KEEPER TALK: Historian and author Benn Trask, will give a lecture on Mathews lighthouse keepers, including “Fannie M. Salter, the Foremost Lighthouse Keeper from Mathews County,” at 6 o’clock tonight, Thursday, Aug. 6, at Mathews Memorial Library, 251 Main Street, Mathews. PLANNERS: The Gloucester County Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 tonight, Thursday, Aug. 6, in the colonial courthouse, 6504 Main Street, Gloucester. FRIDAY CAR SHOW: The Middle Peninsula Classic Cruisers will hold its Cruise-In at 5 p.m. Friday at the Main Street Center parking lot, Gloucester. The weekly Cruise-In events are held every Friday night through the end of October.
