Michele Elaine Marsh Gwyn-Pearson of Glou-cester, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. She was preceded in death by Craig Gwyn; brother, Woodrow W. Regensburg Jr., and parents, Louise and Richard Marsh.
Born to Louise Marsh and Richard Marsh, married to Thomas Pearson, Michele lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, compassion for others, and a love of all things flowers and plants. She graduated from Middlesex High School in 1984 and remained deeply connected to the community she called home throughout her life.
Michele was a faithful member of Newington Baptist Church. Her career reflected her caring spirit and strong work ethic. She worked at several local automobile dealerships before completing the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program at Riverside Convalescent Center in Mathews, Virginia. She then served as a nursing aide at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, where her kindness and dedication touched many lives. Later, she continued her service to patients and staff as a secretary at the hospital.
In her younger years, Michele embraced community life with enthusiasm. She participated in the Urbanna Oyster Festival, was a talented majorette, and proudly served as a cheerleader. She carried that same energy and warmth throughout her life.
Michele found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved flowers and plants, treasured visits to the Outer Banks, and was happiest sitting on the beach listening to the waves. She had a special affection for animals, especially her beloved cat, “Black Kitty.”
Above all else, Michele’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to Holly Michele Gwyn and Heather Lyn Gwyn Marshall (Kenneth). She was a proud grandmother to Robbie, Molly, Waylon, Loralei, and Gracelyn, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
She is also survived by her loving sisters, Linda Kay Bonniville (Kenneth) and Diane Ball (Louis); as well as her cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, humor, and caring spirit.
Michele will be remembered for her gentle spirit, caring heart, steadfast faith, and the deep love she shared with family and friends. Though she will be greatly missed, those who knew and loved her find comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 15, 2026 at noon at Newington Baptist Church, 6619 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor, remember, and celebrate Michele’s life, with a reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made toward the future and education of her five grandchildren.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
