The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club in Hartfield has completed play in its 2026 Dogwood Croquet Challenge League, drawing more than 35 local participants who competed in both Golf Croquet and American Six Wicket forms of croquet. Michael Heath of Christchurch, at left, took top honors in the American Six Wicket competition, while Jeff Taylor of Lancaster, right, won the Golf Croquet competition. The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club welcomes the public to free lessons and games every Sunday at 1 p.m. This year, the club is offering an introductory membership that allows a family to join for $50 for the first year.
