The Gloucester Main Library in Main Street Center will hold its annual Comix Con 2026 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1. An announcement from the library said this event, free and open to all ages, will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 375th anniversary of Gloucester County “through the lens of superheroes, comics, pop culture and costumes.” The official theme this year is “Liberty-Con” or “LibCon” for short, the announcement said. The convention will feature local vendors and artisans, face-painting, craft stations, interactive games and rides, a photo booth, a costume contest, and con experts such as Old Dominion Daleks, The Village Blacksmith, and ORCS LARP, the release said. Attendees can meet actor, producer, and director Antonio D. Charity and the British Bulldogs wrestlers.
