Mary Alma Davis, age 95, of Hayes, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Davis, and is survived by Jack, her loving and longtime companion; her son, James Ridenhour and his wife Linda; granddaughter, Christine Odanga; grandson, Nathan Ridenhour; and great-granddaughter, Vivian. Mary is also survived by her nephews, Martin Read, Larry, and Jerry Goens, and niece, Sheri Newcomb. Mary was such an important part of all our lives, and she will be so missed. In memory of our loved one, contributions may be made to Groves Memorial Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1263, Hayes, Va. 23072. A memorial service is planned at a later date.
