The public is invited to celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial in Yorktown on Saturday, July 4. This year will feature a 50th anniversary concert by the Fifes & Drums of York Town, a free concert by Good Shot Judy, and an enhanced fireworks show. This event includes activities on Historic Main Street and along the waterfront at Riverwalk Landing. Also, visitors can take advantage of special programming at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown (free for York County, James City County, and City of Williamsburg residents) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The activities on July 4 start at 8 a.m. with the Yorktown Independence Day 8K/5K Run/Walk (virtual and in-person), with race day registration/packet distribution beginning at 7.
