Historic Christ Church and Museum will have VA250 History Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 420 Christ Church Road, Weems. The free event will include children-friendly activities, local history, and tours of the historic church and museum. The research library will be open, featuring historical documents, maps and genealogy. Onsite will be both the VA250 Mobile History Museum: “Out of Many, One” and the Virginia Museum of History and Culture’s traveling exhibit, “Give Me Liberty: Virginia & the Forging of a Nation.” Among the attractions will be a Revolutionary War surgeon, representatives of the Royal Ethiopian Regiment, and Leicester sheep and weaving demonstrations.
