Deltas split weekend series, host Tides Saturday

A late-night comeback fell short in extra innings on Friday, but the Deltaville Deltas rode the pitching of Matt Kleinfelter on Saturday, splitting the weekend’s pair of games. Deltaville fell, 7-5, in 10 innings to the Virginia Aces, but rolled, 13-2, against the East Coast Cardinals. The Deltas moved to 5-1 overall on the season, currently sitting in third place in the 13-team Richmond NABA standings. This Saturday will be one of the biggest games of the regular season, as the longtime rival and two-time defending league champion Tappahannock Tides comes to Deltaville Ballpark.
