The Gloucester Resource Youth Team and the Gloucester Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula, Hayes Shopping Center, are holding a Youth & Family Resource Fair on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. “We’re cohosting it together here,” said B&G Unit Director James Luck. “It’s our first year doing it.” The purpose of the fair is to create a low-barrier, one-stop shop for local families and youth to discover services, programs and opportunities from which they could potentially benefit. The fair is also an opportunity for participating organizations to recruit new volunteers and members. Representatives from local sports leagues, summer camps, county programs and more will be in attendance.
