Christopher Lee Cherrie of Port Haywood, Va., left this earth on his 69th birthday, December 21, 2024.

Born in Alaska and living the Army brat life, he joined the Navy during the Vietnam War/Conflict. He served aboard the USS Midway, USS Radford, and USS Harry Hill.

Chris was a motorcycle enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his father, MSGT (ret.) Leroy N. Cherrie; two sisters, Karen Allen and Jill Cherrie.
He is survived by his mother, Deliah Cherrie of Gloucester; his brother, Patrick and wife (Susan); niece, Jillian Cherrie Balduf, her children Savannah and James of Gloucester; his nephew/brother, Shawn Cherrie and his wife Michelle of California and their four sons.
