Sadie B. Cook, 93, of Gloucester, died on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024. She was a native of Gloucester and member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Charles Wythe Cook Jr. and sister, Ruth Palmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Sadie Stubbs Johnson; stepmother, Edith Green Johnson; husband, Charles Wythe Cook Sr.; siblings, Marshall, Mildred and Catherine.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 14 in Bethel Baptist Church on Hickory Fork Road, Gloucester. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Cook will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. for viewing.
