David N. “Dave” Freeman, 90, of Mathews, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, Virginia. Dave was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to Carroll Lee and Eleanor Freeman. He graduated from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and the University of Maryland. He was employed by the Exxon Company U.S.A. as a Staff Buyer. Dave enjoyed traveling, camping, supporting the Orioles, and was a train enthusiast. He was a member of the Mathews Ruritan Club, PATH group and Westville Christian Church, where he was an Elder and a member of the Disciple Men Organization.
Dave is survived by his wife, Suzanne Meeks Freeman; his children, Elizabeth Freeman Schmaltz, Andrew Billups Freeman, and Sarah Freeman Teel; grandchildren, Elli Freeman and Jordan Teel, and numerous cousins, loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, with a funeral service to follow at 2 o’clock at the funeral home.
