Editor, Gazette-Journal: Integrity. Ethics. Civility. Professionalism. These words mean something to me, and I have tried to live and give accordingly. I am honored to be among like-minded peers at Mathews Citizens for the Common Good. Joe, Ron, Roz, Ray and Leigh are amazing people and conscientious citizens. We each come from very different backgrounds, yet we are absolutely aligned and committed in our love for Mathews County’s future. I have had the privilege of working with them on many activities and organizations over the years, and appreciate their desire to give back and actively participate in their community. Having lived and worked all over the world, I am impressed with Mathews incredible spirit of community—it’s a place focused on volunteerism and involvement. The breadth and variety of people that have stepped up and reached out to support MCCG is inspiring. Overwhelmingly we are hearing “Thank You!” The silent majority is no more.
