The 84 East Peer Recovery Center, Gloucester, is sponsoring a number of events in September that involve recovery, peer support and wellness of community members that suffer from drug/alcohol or mental health issues.

Upcoming activities include:

Mondays—All Recovery meeting (10 a.m.). All are welcome who may be struggling with some form of addiction or have a family member who is struggling. Movie Madness and Bingo;

Tuesdays—Taco Tuesday (second and fourth Tuesdays), Cornhole and Beginning Spanish instruction;

Wednesdays—Boundaries, Journaling, All Recovery meeting (1 p.m.) and clothes closet (first Wednesday of the month);

Thursdays—Arts and Crafts, Uno card game and Recovery Connections (10 a.m.);

Fridays—NAMI Connections, Arts and Crafts, Game Day and Frappes.

Our NAMI Kick-Off on June 30th and our summer picnic in July were resounding successes. Thanks to everyone who participated. We had over 50 people show up to demonstrate their support and enjoy a nice bar...
