Eight people graduated during a recent Literacy Volunteers of Gloucester’s annual GED graduation ceremony and dinner reception at the T.C. Walker Education Center. Gloucester graduates included David Allen, James Ayers, Michael Calautti, Tony Firman, Tempra Hayward and Jeremy Owens.

Boy Scout Troop 113 presented the colors during the ceremony and the commencement address was given by Martha Ambrose. Also, Gloria Savage-Early provided an inspirational song, “When You Believe.” LVG president Cynthia Geisert awarded the graduates certificates, along with tutors Martha Trible, Nancy Coggeshall and Tracy Shaw.

Following the ceremony, graduates along with their families and friends attended a dinner reception in the T.C. Walker Education Center cafeteria. ...
