Gloucester High School will induct its 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame during halftime of the Sept. 28 Gloucester-Bethel High School football game, according to GHS Athletic Director Kristy Hunter.

Prior to the game, the new inductees will be welcomed with a reception in the GHS Duke Rock Café beginning at 5:30 p.m. 

The inductees include GHS Class of 1996 members Shawn Armstead and Jason Beach. Armstead was a standout football player for the Dukes and Beach was a state wrestling champion. Hannah Varnell, a GHS cross country and track and field runner from the Class of 2009, will also be inducted.

Former GHS basketball coach Ed Holstrom will join the GHS Athletic Hall of Fame, as well as contributors L.T. Wells and John and Laura Baxter, who helped to start the GHS crew program. ...
