$62,000+ awarded in Main Street grants

The Main Street Preservation Trust recently announced its 2017 grant recipients. Grants were awarded to each of this year’s eight applicants.

MSPT awarded more than $62,000 for façade, interior and merchandising grants this year, according to the group’s executive director Jenny Crittenden. Last year, nine of 13 applicants were approved for cash awards. 

This year’s grant recipients were:

Fairfield Foundation, $10,000, interior improvements, awning and signage outside; Rev-It-Up, $10,000, interior improvements and up to $8,000 for exterior improvements; VersAbility, $10,500, façade improvements; Field’s Quilting & Craft Supplies, $4,169, interior improvements and new signage; Gate of Life Acupuncture, $5,130, interior improvements and new signage; Heartfelt Touch Massage Therapy, $1,327.50, interior improvements; Tim Rowe, $12,971, exterior electrical improvements, and Yolanda’s on Main, $582.24, merchandising project.
