61 graduate from Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School

Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School held its graduation ceremony at Essex Intermediate School on May 31, with the 61 seniors receiving blue and green honor cords to wear at their home school graduation ceremonies.

The Class of 2011 has collectively earned over 3,278 hours of community service, with 11 receiving the CBGS Community Service Award for at least 120 hours over their three years in the program as well as the Bronze, Silver or Gold Presidential Community Service Award.

At the Bronze level (with 100-174 hours earned) are: Brooke Baker, Tommy Coleman, Emma Hollowell, Heather Kirby, Molly Reed, Kara Ross and Sarah Sisson. At the Silver level (with 175 to 274 hours) is Haven Headley. At the Gold level (with over 250 hours) are Emma Hand, Rebecca Walker and Hannah Wallace.
