Six Gloucester High School varsity softball players received All-Conference 10 recognition, including four who were named to the first team.

Named to the all-conference first team were pitcher Kirsten Greene, catcher Bridget Motley, centerfielder Jessica Hogge and designated hitter Jackie Tobin.

Greene, a sophomore, sported a 13-4 pitching record and 120 strikeouts. The right-hander had a regular season ERA of 1.88 and held opposing batters to a .165 batting average. Meanwhile, Greene herself hit .383 for the year while driving in 20 runs.

Motley, also a sophomore, led the Dukes in hitting this year with a .435 average. She tallied 38 hits, including 11 for extra bases, had 35 RBIs and scored 37 runs. Motley threw out five of seven would-be base stealers while stealing 10 bases in 10 attempts as a base runner.

Hogge, a junior, hit .377 while driving in 20 runs and scoring 17 times. Tobin, a senior, hit .392 as the Dukes’ designated hitter and had 20 RBIs.
